Após seis meses de Montréal (CA), a artista Andrea May compilou desenhos em suportes variados que resultaram numa série P&B bastante divertida e que traz o
título "#000000" _ uma referência ao código hexadecimal da cor preta. A exposição individual ser realizada na MOLY KULTE (http://molykulteartetmode.blogspot.com/) com abertura marcada para o próximo dia 14 de julho, das 17 às 19h..
A convite da designer canadense Genevieve Dumas, uma das proprietárias da loja/ studio de eco-design situada na badalada avenida Mont Royal, será lançanda paralelamente uma linha exclusiva de t-shirts e shopping bags com estampas em silkscreen. Os desenhos remetem à ilustrações de livros em detalhes com inspiração lúdica e oriental, uma tendência desenvolvida anteriormente por May durante a criação de seus toys.
As obras e produtos ficarão expostas até agosto e terão valores acessíveis, entre $20 e $100.

Brasileira, graduada em Artes Plásticas participou de várias exposições e salões; com incursão pela Street Art realizou projetos coletivos e foi uma das pioneiras da Toy Art no Brasil. Como profissional atua também como produtora cultural, compositora e vocalista (www.myspace.com/luvebox) além de desenvolver ilustrações, criações para moda, live paint, videoarte, etc. Em Montréal participou em Junho da exposição coletiva ACROBATE na Galeria USINE 106U.

After six months in Montréal (CA), the artist Andrea May has compiled a number of drawings using a variety of materials that resulted in a very interesting Black & White series titled "#000000" a reference to the hexadecimal code of the color black. The individual exhibition will be held in the MOLY KULTE (http://molykulteartetmode.blogspot.com/) opening on July 14th (Tuesday) from 5.00 PM to 7.00 PM.
Invited by the Canadian designer Genevieve Dumas, one the owners of the eco-design shop/studio which is located on 943, rue Mont-Royal est., she will also be showing at the same time, an exclusive line of silkscreen printed T-shirts and shopping bags. The drawings relate to the illustrations of books with details of oriental inspiration and playful themes, something developed previously by May during the creation of her toys.
The works and products will remain on display until August and will be reasonably priced, between $20 and $100.

A Brazilian, graduate in Fine Arts, she has participated in several expositions and galleries; with involvement in "Street Art" she has carried out a number of collective projects and was one of the pioneers of the "Toy Art" in Brazil. Her professional resume covers a wide range, as producer of cultural activities, composer and vocalist (www.myspace.com/luvebox) creator of illustrations, fashion design, "live paint", short video clips, etc. In June in Montréal she participated in the group exhibition ACROBATE in the gallery USINE 106U.
